FAQs

1. Do I need a referral?

No referral is required.

2. How is this different from regular therapy?

Traditional therapy often focuses on mental and emotional health. Holistic wellness therapy includes that, but also looks at your physical health, energy levels, spiritual beliefs, and life purpose. It integrates multiple modalities to support full-spectrum healing.

Spiritual psychotherapy helps people heal and grow by exploring both their inner psychology and spiritual path.  This includes a personal sense of existence, purpose, intuition, connection, and the soul’s journey.

3. What kinds of issues can holistic therapy help with?

  • Anxiety, depression, stress, and burnout

  • Trauma and emotional wounds

  • Chronic fatigue or somatic symptoms

  • Life transitions, mid-life crises or unravellings

  • Relationship upheavals

  • Disconnection, numbness, or feeling “stuck”

  • A desire for deeper purpose or soul-alignment

4. Do I need to be “spiritual” for this to work?

Not at all. Holistic therapy meets you where you are. Whether you follow a spiritual path, are curious, or prefer a more grounded approach, the process is personalized. It’s about being open to deeper self-awareness, not adopting any belief system.

5. What can I expect during a session?

Each session varies but may include:

  • Gentle talk therapy or guided inquiry

  • Breathwork, meditation, or visualization

  • Somatic (body-based) awareness

  • Energy work or emotional release

  • Reflection, intention-setting, or integration

You’ll be supported in a safe, intuitive, and personalized way. Emailed session summaries  may offer optional homework

6. How many sessions will I need?

This depends on your goals and what you're working through. Some clients come for a few sessions during a transition; others engage in longer-term work for ongoing growth, alignment, or trauma healing. More complex issues can involve longer-term psychotherapy to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

7. Is this covered by insurance?

Most holistic therapies are not typically covered by insurance. Check with your provider, or inquire about sliding scale or package options. However, you may be able to claim some costs through Private insurance or alternative avenues such as NDIS self-managed funds.

8. Can this work alongside other treatments?

Absolutely. Holistic therapy often complements other medical, psychological, or wellness treatments. We also offer psychedelic integration therapy, support chronic illness journeys, and rehabilitation or other recovery paths.

9. Is this like coaching?

We offer life coaching alone or in combination with other services. There is overlap, but holistic therapy typically involves deeper emotional, somatic, or spiritual processing, while coaching is more action- and goal-oriented. Therapy may explore healing, while coaching focuses on performance or growth.

9. What is the length of sessions?

Individual session length is 60-75 minutes (remote or in person).

10. What is the nature of your courses?

Our courses are generally offered as part of a longer plan of life coaching and/or spiritual psychotherapy. They involve workbooks and exercises to work through outside of session times. In some cases, groups work through remote courses together.
